Napoleon Cake

We are happy to bring this worldwide popular cake to New Zealand and treat local people with what they call in France and Italy “a thousand layers” (mille-feuilles [mil fœj]) cake. In the U.S. it is also called Napoleon but in Great Britain, it is known as Vanilla Slice or Cream Slice. We make this popular dessert from the thinnest puff pastry and a delicate custard buttercream. We make sure that despite the caloric content, it has an airy texture that creates a feeling of lightness, and just melts in your mouth.
